Thanks for putting the photos up Lorraine. What a great night, and how lovely to have had Kath with us. You cannot believe how delighted I was to draw the final ticket, and have my pick of all the presents. You see, earlier that day I had been involved in a similar event at another break-up and, drawing number 4 on that occasion, didn't get to steal anything. So well done me!
Mum tells me, however, that these Santa Steals have been wreaking havoc with longstanding friendships. It seems that when someone tries to 'steal' their present some people just won't surrender it, with the result that certain parties are not even speaking to one another. So we did very well. All friendships still intact.
Looking forward to seeing you all again next year, when I will strengthen those mush-valued friendships and perhaps forge some new ones.
Gee! Mum must hang-out with a pretty serious gang. Lucky I guess that ours wasn't for `sheep-stations' - that may be the difference.

By the way... be very careful of that `mush'-valued friendships. Didn't see anything too mushy on the night. Love that the members get together outside - love the top-of-town chats over coffee - where we solve many worldly problems... and the catch-ups including some in overseas places... that grow the friendships.

ReplyDeleteMe too! Long time on the break... will help us come back bigger and stronger. Already got a great idea for 2nd session 2014... can hardly wait to bring it together. Always so much to look forward to.
